WHAT IS WEXO?

WEXO is a network for those offering or requiring work experience, internships and jobs.

We see ourselves as the launch pad for young people starting their careers. We introduce them to interesting and enjoyable opportunities in companies they might not otherwise have access to or would not have thought of at a time when they don’t yet have industry knowledge. Sometimes we even act as the gateway to that permanent, dream job.

WEXO democratises access to exciting opportunities for young people whilst ensuring that companies catch the most suitable candidates.

Rather than companies sifting through a mountain of CVs in various formats, WEXO organises applications, making it easy to find people with the right character for a dedicated and happy workforce.

THE WEXO TEAM Robin (Co-Founder & CEO) I’ve been everything from a ski instructor to an investment banker, to an ice cream man. I currently run around like a headless chicken, spinning yarns, talking shop, matchmaking, balancing books, running the show and dreaming about skiing again. My hero has to be Bob Dylan. Harry (Co-Founder) I was born in West London, became a country bumpkin, fell in love with Spain and am now committed to raising £1,000,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.  Currently I inhabit a number of guises from Fixer to Recruiter and everything in between.  Andy (Creative Director) Hello, my name is Andy. I currently enjoy circuit bending old Casio and Yamaha keyboards and love listening to German music - especially kosmiche from the 1970s. I like all musical instruments, regardless of my ability to play them, also microphones, magnets and the films of Werner Herzog. I encourage you to read The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon, I insist that you read any or all of Labyrinths by Jorge Luis Borges, I implore you to buy the highest quality meat and I don't like The Clash. Ben (Lead Developer) I love listening to as well as making music, and I play the guitar and piano (but wish I was better at both!). I started working for WEXO soon after uni and write the code for the site as well managing the databases and servers. I'm always available for tech support and try to be as un-geeky as possible! Ru (Editorial & Marketing) I heart "foreign movies" (the less english, the more I like them) and I’m geeky about fashion and Star Wars. I came to WEXO on a two week work experience placement and could not get enough. I write their copy, do lots of marketing and stick my oar into anything that needs to get done!
